Effective date: January 1, 2026 Supersedes: the version dated September 1, 2011 Applies to: newacecorp.com, nemoscout.com, the NemoScout web portal (portal.nemoscout.com), and the NemoScout mobile app for iOS and Android.
NemoScout is a product of NewAce Corporation. "We", "us" and "our" mean NewAce Corporation and its subsidiaries.
This policy covers two quite different things, and the differences matter:
To sign in you provide an email address and a password, and depending on your organisation's settings a one-time authentication code or a passkey (Face ID / Touch ID). We store your email, a display name where provided, your organisation membership and role, and your language preference.
Passkeys are held by your device's own secure hardware. We store only the public key needed to verify you. We never receive your fingerprint, face data or device passcode — those never leave your device.
We do not store your password. It is kept as a one-way cryptographic hash.
The NemoScout service records aircraft position, altitude, speed and related flight data reported by transponders and receiving stations. This is operational data about aircraft, collected on behalf of the aircraft's operator — typically your flight school — which decides who may see it.
Where your organisation records crew for a flight, that flight data becomes associated with you. Your organisation controls those records; we process them on its behalf.
Our servers record standard web log information — IP address, request time and the page or endpoint requested — to operate the service, diagnose faults and detect abuse.
Signing out deletes your session token and the cached fleet information. Deleting the app removes the rest.
We use your information to operate the service: to authenticate you, show your organisation's aircraft and flights, deliver the alerts your organisation has configured, and support and secure the service.
Where your organisation has enabled them, we send operational alerts by SMS, automated voice call, or email to the contact details it holds for you. These are service messages about flight operations, not marketing.
We do not use NemoScout data for advertising, and we do not profile users.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We disclose it only:
Some information the apps display is relayed from public aviation sources — weather radar, airport cameras, air traffic audio, aeronautical charts. Those requests are made by our servers, not by your device, so those third parties do not receive your IP address or any information about you.
Your account is created and administered by your organisation, not by you, and the apps have no sign-up.
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask for corrections. Some flight records must be retained for the operator's own regulatory and safety obligations, and those are the operator's records to keep or delete.
Traffic between your device and our service is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. Session tokens on iOS are held in the system Keychain. Access to production systems is restricted, and authentication supports one-time codes and passkeys.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
NemoScout is a professional aviation tool for flight schools and aircraft operators. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
